Kathy R. Wildt
Kathy R. Wildt has spent the past 20 years as the owner and President of Reigle-Wildt Publications, a consulting company helping small businesses in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Reigle-Wildt Publications was a natural off-shoot of Kathy Wildt’s previous start-up, a regional travel magazine, The Visitor’s Network. For 20 years, The Visitor’s Network was Western Michigan’s largest travel magazine providing visitors, conventioneers and new residents with important local information. Since 1992, Reigle-Wildt Publications has created business solutions for small businesses in Western Michigan, helping them to turn their challenges into opportunities.
Her expertise in developing human resource programs and in hiring and training was especially successful for ArtPrize, the world’s largest art competition, when she created its volunteer program during the inaugural year in 2009.
Kathy Wildt has a bachelor’s degree in creative writing from DePauw University, a Master’s of Fine Arts from the University of Illinois, and has taught creative writing at several Midwestern universities.
The skills she honed in the college classroom as she used contemporary literature (movies and television) to examine real life experiences have made her a quick-witted and engaging speaker for a variety of audiences.
